Entries for La Aventura Panamericana continue to flow in. At the Historic Motorsport Show, Stoneleigh, last weekend, our old friend Roger Lucas came to our stand and handed Joanna Brown his completed entry form and fee.
Roger and Sarah are veterans of a number of long distance events, including our 2001 Inca Trail, which they did in a Land Cruiser. This time they have opted to come in a classic car - the Mercedes 280SL two-seat convertible they used on the 2005 London-Sydney.
Arne Hertz, nearing the end of the route survey, tells us that almost all the route, including the road from Los Mochis to the Copper Canyon, can be tackled by a well rally-prepared classic car like the Lucases’ Merc.
The same day, we heard of two more intending entries. Be quick if you want to join them!

During the recent La Aventura Panamericana route survey, the team took some fantastic photos. We have decided to put a selection on the website in addition to those already displayed in James' reports.
